During Netra Basti you’ll recline while a warm herbal ghee is contained within a lentil-flour dam around each eye. The treatment is soothing, non-invasive and provides gentle warmth and relaxation throughout the 35-minute session.
The full appointment is 35 minutes. We begin with a brief cleansing, form the protective dam, then fill it with melted herbal ghee and allow absorption. The process is monitored closely for comfort and safety.
Most clients feel mild warmth and relaxation. Temporary oiliness or slight blurred vision is normal and resolves quickly. Avoid if you have active eye infections, acute inflammation, or recent eye surgery; consult your ophthalmologist if you have serious eye conditions.
Please remove contact lenses before your appointment; glasses are recommended afterwards. We’ll handle eye care gently, but lenses can interfere with the dam. If you cannot remove lenses, notify staff when booking so we can advise alternatives.
Ideal candidates include people with eye strain, dryness, puffiness, dark circles, or those seeking rejuvenation. Not suitable for active eye infections, uncontrolled glaucoma, or within weeks of eye surgery. We assess each client and recommend safe alternatives if needed.
Many clients notice immediate relief in heaviness and hydration. Brighter under-eyes and reduced puffiness often appear after one session, while dark circles and deeper concerns improve with a recommended course of treatments and proper home care.
