Discomfort is brief for most clients. We use gentle techniques, quality waxes, and soothing aftercare to reduce pain. Avoid caffeine before your appointment and request a topical numbing product if highly sensitive — we’ll tailor care to your comfort.
Come with clean, dry skin free of makeup and heavy lotions. Avoid retinoids or chemical peels for 48–72 hours and gently exfoliate one to two days before. Ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long so the wax can grip properly.
For best results, hair should be approximately 1/4 inch (5–7 mm). Too short hair won’t adhere to the wax; if hair is longer we'll trim it during service. If hair is very short, we may advise rescheduling when growth is sufficient.
Yes, many with sensitive or acne-prone skin can have Sides waxing. We perform a patch test, use hypoallergenic waxes, and adjust technique. If active severe acne or open wounds are present we’ll recommend waiting or discuss alternative options.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing, fragrance-free gel or aloe, skip makeup and harsh products for a day, and gently exfoliate after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
