Threading can cause mild stinging or tugging, but pain is brief and tolerable for most clients. Our technicians use gentle tension and aftercare to minimize discomfort, and we can adapt technique for particularly sensitive skin.
You can expect hair-free results for roughly two to six weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular threading the regrowth usually becomes finer and sparser, extending the time between appointments.
Cleanse the chin area before your appointment and avoid heavy creams, retinol, or exfoliation for 48 hours. Allow about 2–3 mm of hair length; notify us of medications or skin sensitivities prior to treatment.
Avoid touching, hot showers, saunas, and heavy makeup for at least 24 hours. Use a soothing gel or aloe for redness, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and always apply sunscreen to protect freshly treated skin.
Threading removes hair from the root, which can reduce ingrown hairs compared to shaving. For persistent ingrowns we recommend gentle exfoliation, topical treatments, and regular salon appointments to prevent recurrence.
